The 2025 Bike trip will have a major mission: raise money for our NGO. Every Cent will be used to build the community up. To move forward we urgently need money to:
a youth community center
have electricity for the community that lives around us and our project
water wells for the community
a workshop
Why would someone take a Bike and ride across Ghana you ask? Well, thats a very good question.
We weren’t satisfied to just ask others for money. We wanted to set an example for the kids and people who are trusting us with their money. In order to receive you have to give something so David is sacrificing his time, health and private money to set an example. Everything is financed privately up until now.
We believe that we will be able to raise attention to what we are doing and of course David will document the whole trip and share it on social media platforms.
The Trip is scheduled for aarly February and will last 3 and 1/2 weeks in total. First Goal is to ride from Accra (the capital) all the way up the coast until the border to Cote D’Ivoire. Thats about 800km by bike for the Roundtrip. Depending on how long it takes David might check another route to Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
You can already support the mission before it even starts: If we can raise enough money we will buy a Solar Energy System and send it to Ghana so by the time David reaches Busua he can install it together with the community.
